Belgium holds a pivotal role in Europe’s leadership landscape and is home to a vibrant diverse community, creating a rich tapestry of cultures and perspectives. Belgium isn’t just another country—it’s a mosaic of languages, cultures, and histories. With three official languages and Brussels standing as one of the most cosmopolitan cities globally, Belgium’s history and immigration legacies shape its very identity.
Women Emerging in partnership with Belgium 40 under 40 and The Merode, convened 20 women who reside, work in or just adore Brussels. We paid careful attention to invite women from all ages, sectors, educational levels, regions and nationalities–reflecting the city’s diversity in our expedition. This expedition fostered a growing community of women leading in Brussels, multiplying the impact of women leading in the city and building bridges to inspire more women to lead.
This first Women Emerging city expedition was led by two Belgium 40 under 40 Fellows, Smahane Lamassab and Lynn Tytgat, and supported by Mia Haug as Community Manager.
